Wall Street finished firmly higher on the last day of the week, buoyed by the release of a clearly stronger-than-expected reading on the state of America's jobs market. Taken in aggregate the report confirmed that the US economy continues to create sufficient jobs to maintain the recovery, even if the pace of growth is set to slow in the third quarter following a notable bounce-back in the second quarter, according to Barclays.
