With extensive renovations nearly complete, the new owners of the Salem Twin Cinema are expecting to hold a ribbon cutting and open house a week from today, on Nov. 6, with the grand opening on Friday, Nov. 14. More details about the open house will be announced next week, but a press release issued this week provided details of the work "to bring first-run movies in a unique theater experience to the greater Salem Area." The former longtime Salem Twin Cinema shut down last December, but Salem residents Jock and Natalee Buta announced in May that they purchased the business and planned to update the facilities.
