State adds 4,800 jobs in November

Statistics released today by the state Department of Labor were an exclamation point added to a flurry of positive employment numbers toward the end of 2014 that led to a total reported increase in 26,700 jobs statewide throughout the year. The Norwich-New London area gained 1,000 jobs on the year, with the slowest rate of increase of any of the state's major labor markets and no job gains in December.
