Cut energy workers could spur flurry of employment litigation

Jessica Mason, partner with the employment practice at the Houston office of Dallas-based Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, said highly compensated upstream workers who have lost their jobs recently will be litigation bait for plaintiff lawyers in the months to come. As Houston's oil and gas companies embark on thousands of job cuts , there will inevitably be a portion of terminated employees who seek employment litigation.
