Maryland gains 11,000 jobs in December, unemployment rate improves

Maryland added 11,000 jobs in December, pushing down the state's unemployment rate to its lowest total in nine months. The private sector led the way, creating 10,600 jobs during the month, according to preliminary data released Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Labor .
