The unemployment rate in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area in November fell three-tenths of a percentage point to its lowest rate since June 2008,the state Department of Labor & Industry announced Tuesday. Yet at 6 percent unemployment, the region's jobless figures still lead all of the state's metropolitan areas and lag behind the state average of 5.1 percent and the national average of 5.8 percent.
