Multiemployer Pension Reform Act of 2014

The Multiemployer Pension Reform Act of 2014 , as part of the Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act of 2015 , H.R. 83, was passed by the House on December 11, 2014, the Senate on December 13, 2014, and signed by the president on December 16, 2014. A principal goal of the MPRA is to provide the most distressed multiemployer pension plans the flexibility to take necessary action to avoid plan insolvencies.
