Many companies have long established cellular phone use policies, but the majority of these policies have not been updated to address the expanded capabilities and usage patterns of employees with smartphones. Employees using company resources to access social media, forums, personal email and a myriad of other non-work Internet resources were a popular topic of discussion only a few a years ago.
