Newton unveils $5.1m traffic improvement plan

Turning his attention to what he called "quality-of-life, ground-level issues," Newton Mayor Setti Warren last week outlined a plan to reduce backups at the worst traffic spots throughout the city. Warren said work will begin next summer at the city's "most inefficient, frustrating, and unsafe" intersections to reduce the long backups that prevent traffic from moving through green lights.
