MOL relaxes regulations for parental leave

Labor Minister Chen Hsiung-wen recently stated that an amendment to the existing policy that regulates the criteria for non-paid parental leave is currently being developed, which seeks to lower the threshold of time served at a company from one year to six months. During a session at the Legislative Yuan's Social Welfare and Environmental Hygiene Committee , Chen reported that the Ministry of Labor is currently aiming to amend the Act of Gender Equality in Employment .
