Del Sordi Responds to Vastine's Charges of Union's Financial Record Keeping Flaws

"My life is an open book, you can look it up," says Scotch Plains Town Council candidate John Del Sordi about charges by incumbent Bo Vastine that Del Sordi, a union leader, had been accused of seven record-keeping violations by the U.S. Department of Labor in March 2010. The most dramatic moment of the Scotch Plains Township Council debate on Monday evening was the announcement by Vastine that he was in possession of a 2010 letter from the Department of Labor that documented faulty financial record-keeping at Carpenters Local 715, where Del Sordi was treasurer at the time.
