Security guards file grievance against East Haven schools

A union representing public service workers has filed a grievance against the East Haven Board of Education claiming it used a private security company to fill a vacant position. According to a report in the New Haven Register, the United Public Service Employees Union claims the board dealt with a staffing issue, by hiring someone who was not a member of the United Public Service Employees Union.
