Portland judge signs final order directing Oregon businessman to pay $512K in back wages, damages

A federal judge in Portland has signed a final order directing Oregon businessman David A. Emami to pay 33 former employees back wages and damages totaling $512,290. The judge also ordered Emami to foot the cost of hiring a third-party monitor to audit his companies' records and assure he complies with federal labor regulations for the next three years.
