Martinez: Waterfront Park plans hit snag

Despite the city's efforts to fast-track Waterfront Park improvements in time for 2015 baseball, preliminary estimates totaling up to $10 million have forced a plan revision and delay. There is a sense of urgency because of the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs' proposal for a Clippers baseball team in Martinez , and Waterfront Park improvements are expected to help facilitate about 40 home games, attracting 500 to 700 fans each.
