Luzerne County Community College landed a federal grant worth a bit more than $1.8 million that will help update and expand welding, diesel engine and advanced manufacturing programs. It's part of $10 million being given to a consortium of three community colleges in Pennsylvania; LCCC will also benefit from joint projects for all three schools.
