The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued Tulsa-based Helmerich & Payne Inc. on Friday, claiming the oil and natural gas drilling company illegally fired an employee for using prescription back pain medication. The government said H&P required employees to disclose prescribed medications and over-the-counter drugs and tested for legal prescription medication.
