The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued Tulsa-based Helmerich & Payne Inc. on Friday, claiming the oil and natural gas drilling company illegally fired an employee for using prescription back pain medication. Adam Wilmoth returned to The Oklahoman as energy editor in 2012 after working for four years in public relations.
