Council Members Cap Women's History Month With Bill to Help Moms Return to Work

Unveiled by Manhattan Councilman Benjamin Kallos, Brooklyn Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo and Brooklyn Councilman Robert Cornegy on the final day of Women's History Month, the bill was designed to help women overcome workplace discrimination and other barriers to unemployment by utilizing the city's 18 Workforce1 career assistance centers, Mr. Kallos said. "It's the last day of Women's History Month, but gender equity should be a 365-day-a-year endeavor," he said.
