Buffalo Niagara unemployment drops to lowest mark in 7 years

The jobless rate in the Buffalo Niagara metropolitan area declined by more than a full point in the past year on the heels of a big lift in the labor market. The state Department of Labor said Tuesday that the unemployment rate for Buffalo was 6.4 percent for February compared to 7.5 percent in the same month last year.
