CDBG: Where the $ goes

Tonight citizens will have their first of two chances to weigh in on the ways in which Marietta City Council is planning to spend $170,925 in grant funding designated for community improvements throughout the city. Whittling down dozens of projects recommended by community members during summer public hearings, council ultimately decided last week on seven projects which will receive anywhere from $1,000 to $56,000 of this year's Community Development Block Grant .
