Insurance agent Amneris Deleon, of Wilmington, N.C., was arrested and charged with one count each of embezzlement by an insurance agent and accessing a computer to defraud or obtain property. Department of Insurance criminal investigators accuse Deleon-the owner and operator of ADE Multiservice in Wilmington-of collecting approximately $1,200 from a customer over the course of eight months for a worker's compensation policy that did not exist.
