Chesterfield bans most animals from town buildings, vehicles

CHESTERFIELD, N.H. >> While the winter months may be an appropriate time to adopt a new pet, the Chesterfield Board of Selectmen has opted to adopt a new pet policy. The Selectmen voted 2-1 on Wednesday, Feb. 18, to institute the policy that bans the presence of pets - with the exception of service animals, police dogs, or animals temporarily in the custody of the Chesterfield Police Department - in town-owned buildings or vehicles.
