WHL Legislation Passes Out of House Committee

The State House Labor Committee unanimously passes a bill out of committee this morning that would essentially recognize that players in the Western Hockey League are exempt from child labor laws and should be considered amateur in status. A companion bill, State Senate bill 5893, was heard in committee yesterday, at which time representatives from the Washington based WHL teams testified as did WHL commissioner Ron Robison.
