LCG overtime tops $5.9 million with utilities and police departments making up 70% of cost.

The Lafayette Consolidated Government could hire more than 170 new employees with the amount of overtime they paid out last year, according to a KATC analysis. Last year, Lafayette Consolidated Government employees racked up nearly 200,000 hours of overtime, totaling $5.9 million in pay.
