John Kiriakou has recently been released from prison after serving a sentence of two and a half years for violating the Intelligence Identities Protection Act. Kiriakou was the first CIA operative to publicly confirm the agency's use of waterboarding after 9/11 and is credited to exposing the U.S. government's use of torture tactics under President George W. Bush.
