Council allocates $8 million for street resurfacing in El Paso, specific streets not yet chosen

El Paso City Council on Monday allocated almost $8 million for street resurfacing citywide as part of the 2015 street infrastructure budget, although which streets will see the improvements has yet to be determined. The council unanimously approved awarding the $7.9 million contract to ZTEX Construction, Inc. for the work during the meeting, which was held Monday rather than today when members will be in the state capitol as part of El Paso Days in Austin.
