New playgrounds are welcome additions in Marion

The town's two new playgrounds, at Washburn Park and the site of a former school playground on Point Road, are already a hit with parents and neighbors. The equipment in Washburn Park's new 4,800-square-foot playground includes slides, climbing towers and swings for both toddlers and older children.
