Neptune Beach council to hold public hearing on Hopkins Creek dock issue

Residents next month will have a chance to offer input whether Neptune Beach should keep intact its city ordinance limiting to 4 feet wide the walkway of docks on Hopkins Creek, which is considered to be environmentally sensitive lands. Neptune Beach city councilors voting 3-2 Tuesday night approved a recommendation from the city's Community Development Board, which rejected unanimously a proposal to allow dock walkways up to a maximum of 5 feet wide.
