McHenry County unemployment rate falls to 5 percent for August, lowest for month since 2007

McHenry County's unemployment rate fell to 5 percent in August - it's lowest level for the month since 2007, according to preliminary figures from the U.S. Department of Labor and the Illinois Department of Employment Security. In August 2013, the county unemployment rate stood at 7.6 percent.
