2G scam probe: SC asks CBI chief to respond to 'serious' allegations in a week

SC has given CBI director Ranjit Sinha a week's time to respond to 'serious' allegations against him in 2G probe case. NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday brushed aside CBI director Ranjit Sinha's plea for dismissal of a petition alleging he had 'undesired' visitors at his official residence and asked him to respond within a week to the demand for his recusal from probe and prosecution of cases relating to 2G spectrum scam.
