Louisiana State Treasurer Suggests State-Run Flood Insurance Plan

Seeking a way to ease skyrocketing federal flood insurance rates, state Treasurer John Kennedy has suggested that Louisiana should consider getting in the business of offering flood insurance coverage to its residents.
