Labor Department Signs On To State-Of-Celebration Rule For Same-Sex Marriages

On September 18, 2013, the Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration issued Technical Release 2013-04 , adopting the treatment of same-sex marriages for purposes of ERISA that was recently prescribed for tax purposes by the IRS.
