And one would imagine that the Minister for Justice would be especially leery of the explosive topic, given that in recent turbulent times her department was busily sending up rockets and distress flares to beat the band, what with the revolving Catherine Wheel of departing Garda Commissioners and ministers and arriving whistle-blowers. But Frances Fitzgerald - accompanied by the Minister for Children James Reilly - popped up in Dublin Castle to warn the more feckless firebugs among the citizenry that messing about with bangers and the like can lead to all sorts of gruesome injuries.
