Five Arvada playgrounds get $1.2 million in upgrades

Gone will be the creaky swings and scuffed-up picnic tables. In their place will be new swings, climbing and play equipment, benches and the crown jewel: a rubberized ladybug play mound resting on a red and black dotted play area.
