Lakeland Eye Clinic settles in transgender discrimination lawsuit

In addition to a monetary settlement, the Lakeland Eye Clinic will implement a new gender discrimination policy and provide training for managers and employees. Lakeland Eye Clinic will pay $150,000 to settle a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging sex discrimination against a transgender person.
