Information overload and response rates

Did law schools behave unethically by providing employment and earnings information without simultaneously reporting survey response rates? Or is this standard practice? The answer is that not reporting response rates is standard practice in communication with most audiences. For most users of employment and earnings data, response rates are a technical detail that is not relevant or interesting.
