The Canonsburg-based energy company on Friday was in the process of notifying affected employees at its Indiana County field office, said Byron Stauffer, executive director of the Indiana County Office of Planning and Development. Mr. Stauffer, who said he helped facilitate Consol's move into its offices in Indiana in 2009, said he believed about 40 people will be let go.
