NYS sets record for recovery of illegally withheld worker wages

New York workers got more illegally unpaid wages returned to them by the state in 2014 than ever before, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo. The governor's office said that the Labor Department recovered $30.2 million for nearly 27,000 workers who were not paid proper minimum wage, overtime pay or fringe benefits.
