NYS board recommends $2.50 hourly raise for tipped workers

The New York State Labor Department's Wage Board, meeting in Albany today, recommended by a 2-1 vote a $7.50-per-hour minimum wage for tipped workers in the food and hospitality service industry by the end of the year. That would mean a $2.50 increase.
