New leaders for 'in denial' council

A withering new indictment of Rotherham Council's failure to tackle monumental levels of child sexual exploitation has led to the Government replacing its entire political leadership with commissioners and a fresh criminal investigation. Just when public officials in South Yorkshire thought there was nothing more to be revealed about how the more than 1,400 children had been subjected to rape, violence and trafficking by gangs of mainly Asian men, today's inspection report by Louise Casey has provoked a new wave of condemnation.
