Workplace issues among Wausau city employees have prompted criticism from the public and city council members, and have prompted Mayor Jim Tipple to evaluate how issues get handled. The most publicized issues surround Finance Director Maryanne Groat, who faces a 10 day suspension sometime this year for workplace harassment and former Public Works Director Brad Marquardt for violation of laws related to the Stewart Avenue decorative birds project.
