Supreme Court to mull thorny problems

The Supreme Court kicks off its 2014-15 season Monday with fewer high level, controversial cases than in previous years. And conspicuously absent from the docket, at least for now, are any of the several pending same-sex marriage cases many legal experts predict the justices must eventually will deal with.
