On February 24, 2014, the Internal Revenue Service , the Employee Benefits Security Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor , and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services jointly released final regulations implementing the 90-day waiting period limitation required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act .
