The recent mood of some individuals and groups in our country regarding the recent Trayvon Martin case, and the activity of the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Congress and the North Carolina Legislature has convinced me and others that it is impossible to legislate attitudes, racial harmony and tolerance.
