Emergency grant to help hundreds of laid-off aerospace workers

Workforce Development Council Snohomish County has been awarded $150,000 in Rapid Response Additional Assistance funds from the U.S. Department of Labor to help as many as 700 aerospace workers affected by The Boeing Co.'s reduction in workforce, announced late April 2013 and taking effect May 2013.
