The village of Coal City plans to spend more than $12.5 million in the coming year, and 23 percent of the that will go to further the development of Inland Logistics Port Coal City. Village officials say that $2.95 million of the $9.8 million budgeted for operational expenses is earmarked for the rail served industrial park, dollars that the village is expected to receive through a state transportation grant.
