Stefanik, Gibson push to improve immigrant ag worker programs

U.S. Rep. Elise M. Stefanik, R-Willsboro, said she has agreed to be an original cosponsor of legislation that Rep. Chris Gibson, R-Kinderhook, will introduce to transfer administration of the programs from the Department of Labor to the Department of Agriculture. “It's just an understanding that the needs of the ag workers are very specific to the ag community,” she said.
