Lawsuit: Four Central New York companies cheated workers out of 'hard-earned' pay

The U.S. Department of Labor is suing a group of Salina-based property management companies, alleging they regularly cheated workers out of overtime pay and fired an employee for speaking with investigators. In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Syracuse, the department said Alliance Property Services Inc. and three affiliated companies violated overtime, minimum wage, record keeping and anti-retaliation requirements of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
