Honolulu electrical contractor to pay $1.2M in back wages to Kaneohe Marine base workers

A Honolulu-based federal electric contractor must return more than $1.2 million in back wages to workers at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, the U.S. Department of Labor announced Thursday. The department's Wage and Hour Division found that Lighting Services Inc. did not pay required wages to 38 electricians and technicians, submitted falsified payrolls and time records, and asked workers to give false information to investigators.
