Former contractor says NRC has ignored problems at Millstone

Waterford - A contractor who said he was fired from his job at the Millstone Power Station after he reported a co-worker abusing narcotics on the job in 2011 pleaded with Nuclear Regulatory Commission administrators Tuesday to take action to ensure whistleblowers are safe from retaliation at the plant. “I want a Congressional hearing,” said Stephen Lavoie of Niantic, who was an insulation contractor at the plant.
